Who else got a Google Wave invite and has been playing around with it? I only know four of my friends who do, so I haven't been able to play around with it that much. If anyone else is in Google Wave and wants to play around with it, let me know because it's a great tool. It will be so useful for education, so I'd love to use it with some media specialists/teachers to see how it could be integrated.
If you have an account, start a Wave with me, I'm lsuchy.
Hi LeAnn,
I am always interested in trying something new. I need an invitation, though. My gmail is angriffin101. If you'd send me an invite, I'll be happy to give it a whirl. :-)
I haven't received my invitations yet. Apparently Google is making room for more people to preview Wave and when they make more room they'll send out more invites. So, I don't even know when or how many I get, which makes it harder to preview when you don't have too many people to preview with!
I did just get added to a Twin Cities Wave, but it's huge. There are over 150 of us in there, so the Wave is just gigantic, and I find it goes slower when it's that large (and I'm not sure if that's because of the loads of content or the amount of people). I don't think I'd use a Wave to collaborate with that many people, it doesn't seem to quite work the best, but I suppose we're all in there just playing around with it to try it out.
LeAnn -- I'm waiting for a Google Wave invite as well. When they start coming through I'd love to set up a wave for something interesting -- information literacy in Minnesota? something related to the multitype projects? As I understand it GW is still fairly beta at the moment, but it will surely take off quickly.
I just started "waving" and can be found at "ecmeccmarc" or "mjohnson@ecmecc.k12.mn.us". I was invited by another technology coordinator in our area, so I can't invite anyone else, sorry. However, I'm willing to participate in waves with anyone who wants to give it a try. I have a lot to learn about this new tool.
