Hello everyone! I'm new to the MEMO group and will be attending my first NECC Conference next week. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to get the most out of my NECC Experience or if anyone was planning on attending.
Ryan,
You will love the NECC conference! This is my 6th one. Here are my suggestions:
If you can make it, go to the session for new conference attendees on Sunday afternoon. It's well worth it.
Don't get too caught up in the vendor area: it is overwhelming!
Snag as many free meals as you can: food is expensive. A lot of the vendors have invitation only open houses and you can usually get something to eat and even a few drinks there. Ask around - especially at the big vendor booths like HP, Dell, Tech4Learning, etc. and see if you can get invited. It definitely saves on meals.
Feel free to email me: Dawn Nelson and I will be there.

Hi Ryan,
Enjoy the NECC experience! There is so much to see at this conference. The vendor area is amazing. The sessions are fantastic. The small group, SID, and SIG gatherings are very valuable. The vendor hosted events are also worthwhile. In a nut shell, I would recommend getting up early and turning in late to take in the total experience. Enjoy the conference.

I will also be attending for the first time this year, so maybe I'll see you at the session for newbies on Sunday. I'll be the one with the dazed and confused look on my face... I wonder how many folks from MEMO are attending?
