One-One initiative for technology

Our district is discussing having Ipads or Netbooks or some other type of technology for students from 4-12th grade.   We are looking for schools that already in place that can give us some advice on what works, and doesn't and if you would still recommend what you have currently.

Our school implemented a 1:1 iPad initiative this year.  We learned a lot from Osseo, Eden Prairie and Heritage School in West St. Paul.  We are improving as we go forward.  One of the best things we have done is to implement a Student Technology Advisory Committee that has helped us in our implementation and in training our student body.
